Teaching
church members Biblical stewardship is at the heart of Christian
discipleship. A church's stewardship program and resource base only
grows as individual members and families come to understand the nature of
Christian discipleship and apply the principles of Biblical
stewardship to their everyday lives. Resource Churches understands
that congregations need resources to assist them in teaching these
principles effectively.
Resource Churches is committed to providing quality stewardship
education materials for churches (see The Giving Life below). In
addition we will help you develop a personalized plan for teaching the
principles of Christian Stewardship to your church members throughout the
church year.
Your Personal Stewardship Specialist
We provide ongoing stewardship services to local churches on a retainer
basis. This approach allows you to have a Stewardship Specialist on
your church staff for a small monthly fee. The retainer is based
upon the level of services the church desires. Our services include
the following resources:
- Stewardship Articles for your church newsletter or other
publication (monthly).
- Reproducible Stewardship Inserts for your bulletin or worship
folder (monthly).
- Stewardship Worship Element including litanies, scripture
readings, dramatic sketches, etc. (3 to 5 minute emphasis each month).
- Offertory Statement for use by worship leaders (weekly).
- Draft Stewardship Letter to be mailed with quarterly
contribution statements.
- Stewardship Sermon Starters & Illustrations for preaching ministry (monthly).
- Bible Study Lessons for Adults and Youth (reproducible
lessons provided annually).
- Customized Stewardship Services based upon the needs of your
church including leadership training.
All of the Stewardship materials provided by Resource Churches are
original materials copyrighted by Resource Churches. We work with
your church leaders to customize all our stewardship resources for each
congregation. Your retainer relationship provides you with unlimited
use of the materials in your church. Retainers may include time on
your field helping design your stewardship program and training your
leaders.
You may select the services your church needs. Our retainer
relationships begin at only $150.00 per month. Resources and drafts
of the stewardship materials are provided to the church each month based
upon our agreement. The retainer includes telephone and e-mail support and
assistance. The retainer agreements are for one year and may be
renewed. We believe our services will justify our retainer agreement;
however, you always have the opportunity cancel the retainer with 30 days
notice. We would be happy to visit with a church representative about your
needs and interests and prepare a specific proposal for your church.
Stewardship Reviews
We recommend churches consider allowing Resource Churches to conduct a
Stewardship Review for your church prior to developing your stewardship
education plan. We will assist the church in conducting a comprehensive
review of the church’s entire stewardship program. The review will include
an analysis and evaluation of the church’s budgets, giving history, audit
reports, adopted procedures, stewardship education activities and all
related areas for the past three years. The review will provide a complete
analysis of the church’s current stewardship status and recommendations
for improvement. Typically, the review includes two trips to the church
field; however, we are prepared to complete the study by phone and e-mail
if you prefer.
